Executive Leadership Team

The Bahlsen Group is directed by an Executive Leandership Team (ELT) consisting of Verena Bahlsen (Chief Mission Officer), Cornelia Kaufmann (Chief Culture Officer), Jonathan Duffin (Chief Commercial Officer), Claire Sutton (Chief Marketing Officer), Karl Reichstein (Supply Chain Director) and Katja Wischnewski (Finance Director).

The ELT establishes the company strategy and monitors its implementation. It lays down the guidelines and standards for the whole Bahlsen Group and controls the business units. Bahlsen has Business Units in the regions:

Jonathan Duffin

Jonathan Duffin started his career at Bahlsen UK in October 2013 as a Marketing Director. In 2015, he was promoted to General Manager UK & Ireland. Since the beginning of 2021 he has been a member of the Management Board. As Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), he is responsible for UK & Ireland, America, APAC, CEE, Western Europe and the MEA region. He is also in charge of Group Sales and Procurement.

Cornelia Kaufmann

Cornelia Kaufmann joined Bahlsen's Management Board as Chief Culture Officer in January 2022. Previously, she held various positions in Human Resources, People Management and Digital and Cultural Transformation at IKEA in Germany, Denmark and Sweden. She is responsible for the functions IT, Digital & Analytics, Human Resources, Communications, Transformation and Regulatory.

Claire Sutton

Claire Sutton has been Bahlsen's Chief Marketing Officer since February 2022. Her field of responsibility covers the new marketing structure, i.e. Growth Markets & Bahlsen, DACH & Leibniz, Western Europe & PiCK UP! as well as CEE & Hit! and Krakuski, and furthermore the group functions Consumer Insight, Impact as well as Innovation and R&D.

Claire Sutton joined Bahlsen in 2015 as Head of Marketing UK & Ireland and subsequently also led the DACH Marketing Team and the Global Brands & Insight Team GBI. Previously, she worked for various food companies in the UK, most recently for The Jordans & Ryvita Company, which was part of Associated British Foods.

Katja Wischnewski

Katja Wischnewski has been Finance Director since the beginning of 2021 and is responsible for the overall financial management of the company within the framework of the company-wide central finance function structure. In the many years she has been with the company, she has headed the areas of strategy including planning and project and portfolio management, controlling, finance and IT, among others.
