Responsible Supply Chain

Our approach

When it comes to responsibility for our supply chain, we focus on the procurement of raw materials and production. To us, responsible procurement means: promoting transparency and traceability in order to identify and address specific problems for more sustainability. In our production we are working on reducing our CO2 footprint.

We use the following raw materials:

Wheat, sugar, eggs, cocoa, palm fat, milk products, nuts

Sourcing of raw materials

What have we achieved so far?

  • Cocoa: 100 percent from sustainable cultivation in Mass Balance quality
  • Palm oil: 100 percent RSPO-certified in Segregated quality
  • Wheat: 90 percent from controlled contract farming
  • Eggs: at least from barn hens

Where do we go from here?

  • Wheat: 100 percent from controlled contract farming until 2023
  • Milk products and nuts: Identification of critical issues in our supply chain

Responsible Production

What have we achieved so far?

  • We have planted 150.000 trees to compensate for our CO2 footprint.

  • In cooperation with Plant for the Planet, we have trained 1250 children as climate ambassadors.

  • Measuring our CO2-footprint at the production site in Skawina.

  • Use of solar energy at the production site in Barsinghausen since 2020.

Where do we go from here?

  •       German production sites: Measuring our CO2 footprint.
